Glass Drinking Set
Glass blown into a plaster mold.
The shape of this carafe is based on a research of the most natural position of the hands when pouring. The hand grip has a coarser structure.
Produced at Stefanek’s glass factory in northern Czech Republic, the glass is carefully reheated after being blown into the mold, allowing it to take its final shape.
I chose to leave the glass in its raw form, showcasing the imperfections left by the plaster mold, giving it a raw, brutalist feel.
The graceful curve of the seam is inspired by the fluid motion of a ballerina.
The carafe is part of a set that includes two glasses, each piece being unique. The set is available in two colors: purple and clear.
