Sunrise light object
My aim is to lead the viewer into a lyrical dream world—a space for calming down, contemplating, and meditating. It is inspired by sunrise and the moment of absolute peace. I tried to convey this magical experience of silence to the viewer through a two-meter light sculpture—a meditative object hanging on a wall, an atmospheric light that sets the mood for the whole room.
Different light intensity settings are available, along with a BREATH mode. In this mode, the light slowly turns on and off, serving as a guide for breathing—one of the most powerful tools for calming down when needed.
I used Barrisol material for its translucency and plasticity. When the LED strips are turned on, the dreamy landscape created by the material assemblage comes to life and appears behind it.
For the background assemblage, I experimented with many different materials and colors to create various compositions. Silver metal wires help stretch the object into three-dimensionality.
